Foot and Inch math using ' and "
I use Calca a lot for work, and we do a lot of work with design drawings where distances are specified in a format like 4'2 1/2". It would be very helpful if Calca could work with lengths written like this for doing math with these lengths.

Text Highlights for HTML Comments
I open the Calca files in other text editors. I use HTML comments to hide some of the nitty gritty details. Currently, Calca doesn't understand these and marks them as errors. That throws me off when reading/editing them. I think the <! > should just be greyed out. All other text should be normal.

Blank screen when launched
I often get a blank Calca screen when launched. All the pages are gone. The only way to show the content is the go to the App Store and click Open. It’s getting to the point of not wanting to use it anymore.

[bug] keyboard partially visible on iPad 9.7 portrait split screen mode
iOS 11: If screen is splitted with another App together with Calca, when trying to input text on Calca screen, the toppart of the added–Calca–keyboard (with symbols, numbers and so on) is only partially visible on Calca’s side of the screen. The other part stays hidden by the other app which shares the screen with Calca. This makes the added part of keyboard unusable occupying precious screen space.

Sliders to plot functions with a parameter
To have the possibility of add a slider—as in mathstudio or as the manipulate command in mathematica.
For example you want to plot the function
f(x) = sin(a*x)
and you want to see how the graph changes for a in [0,10]
In mathstudio one writes
Slider(a,0..10>0.1,1)
Plot(sin(a*x))
then in the output we get the graph and below a slider that changes the value of a. The initial value is a=1, the increments in a are 0.1, and a changes from 0 to 10. One moves the slider, and the graph of the function changes in real time.

Option to turn off the extra keyboard rows above the standard keyboard
Since the 12.9" iPad already provides a row of number keys, could we have an option to turn off the extra keyboard number rows?
The extra keyboard rows are improperly cropped in splitscreen mode anyway, so they just take up valuable screen space.
Thanks!

Fix currency units in standard library functions
Normal units work with library functions; this works:
floor(5.46 m) => 5 m
But, this does not:
floor($5.46) => floor($5.46)
I can workaround, by doing something like:
add$(x) = $*x
rem$(x) = x/$
floor$(x) = add$(floor(rem$(x)))Can it be fixed?

Keyboard doesn't fit in portrait mode on 10.5 inch iPad Pro
Hi, the extra keyboard row doesn't display properly when in portrait orientation, it gets both sides chopped off.

Add interpolation functions
I think it would be very nice to have the ability to get, at least, linear interpolation.

bug in deCH language.
hi guys
the decimal character for deCH is wrong. In Switzerland we write 1'000.99
The decimal delimiter is a . and not a , as it is actually done in calca. can you please correct this bug?thank you and best regards

Give Calca some more multilingual support
If Calca presents math into something more tangible, into words that are easier to understand, Calca should support multiple languages outside of English. Maybe Chinese support for instance.

Add integrals
Be able to use integrals.

Inline graphs ala other notebooks (Python/Jupyter, Mathematica, etc.)
The graph panel / sidebar presentation is generally icky. The program itself is GREAT the language is great, it's all great. Except for visualization.

Setting a Variable to be used across multiple files.
I love this app. It replaced the majority of the reasons why I have spreadsheets. I would love to see a way to set a value of a variable and make it global. Meaning I could use that value in a different file.

Support inline tables
I find trying to put tabular data into a document in a way that makes sense quite difficult. Various markdown flavors support this.

3D Plot
Please do a 3D plotting function, for functions like z(x,y) = x^2 + y^2 etc. So you can see your function in 3D.

Make it work with Bear/ DayOne both support markdown
Calca concept is brilliant as was looking for something like that for long time. It would be super nice if i could easily export the notes from calca to Bear and / or Day One.

Derivating twice and plotting glitch
When trying to derivate like this:
f= x^3 + 4x^2  5x + 1
der(f(x),x)=h
der(der(f(x),x),x) = j
f => x^3 + 4 x^2  5 x + 1
h => 3 x^2 + 8 x  5
j => 6 x + 8
plot (f,j,h, 5..5)The h function won't plot.
Tried unnesting the derivations as well but it not help.
Please fix this.
Great program by the way!3 votes
